Resilience and Rebellion
What's the worst thing that can happen?
They say "NO"?

Amazies, NO's are no reason not to do something.
NO's have zero power over what you do.
NO's do not control, define or affect you in any way.
A NO only holds power if you give it your power.
NO's are not alive. They cannot hurt you. You give them life, by listening to their sordid lies.
Amazies, If you truly want something, never let a NO stand in your way.
You have the power to create your own life. Write your own story. Don't give the pen to someone else.
Own your own life.
I believe in you.
Why is it that as people we seek for someone to believe in us?
What we need is to believe in ourselves.
That way when the NO's come along or our supporters lose interest, we will keep going. Not because it's easy, but because we believe in ourselves.
Giving ourselves the gift of allowing rejection and tough times (I call them plot twists--It helps lol, try it!) into our lives without inviting them to stay means resilience moves in and becomes a part of our everyday.
re·sil·ience
/rəˈzilyəns/
noun
the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.
Resilience empowers us to spring back, adapt to situations and advance in our lives in spite of the rejection.
Despite what others say, we can move forwards.
Our path may look different, but that doesn't mean it is wrong.
So go ahead and try something different.
Do something that scares you.
Ask the random saleslady if you can have the employee discount.
What's the worst thing that can happen? They say NO?
Of course not.
The worst thing that can happen is that you tell yourself NO.
Please, get out of your own way and believe in yourself.
If you do, you'll eventually get that yes.
You are worth it.
If you don't believe it, who will?
Self-worth begins with 'Self' for a reason.
You've got this.
You are the only one who can truly change your story.
So do it.
Start fresh.
Take a blank page and write.
And remember to thank yourself for saying yes this time.
You deserve it.
Love,
Shay
