Permission To Grow
Updated: Mar 24, 2020
There comes a point in each of our lives when we start to wonder...
What do you do when the world comes crashing down around you? How do you cope when life just keeps throwing you in circles? What do you say to the people in your life who mean well, but really need to mind their own business? How do you teach people the proper way to treat you, after letting yourself be walked on for years?
The simple answer? Make a Choice and make it now.
We cannot choose the consequences for the life we have lived but we can choose our reactions to them. We can choose to be brave, we may choose to move on, we can choose to try again, we may choose to forgive ourselves, we can even choose to start fresh.
Often it will take the people around us time to adjust to the new self we are. It may be that many of them will leave. This is OK. Those people weren’t the ones you want to have around you anyway. There are other people who will fill the gaps and spaces as you allow your life to change. When you expect #change, you will get it.
Dr. Seuss once said, “Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” It is totally true. And you know what?
There is a profound peace in allowing yourself to become who you were meant to be.
There is beauty in rising up from the still-smoking ashes of your life like a phoenix and beginning anew.
Choose to give yourself that permission to change. Choose to begin immediately. Give yourself the gift of living.
It has become a rather rare gift at this point in time.
Your past does not define you, nor does your present. A definition- any definition- excludes the possibility of change.
You are more than a definition. You are a precious child of God with infinite potential and worth. Live like you believe that. Please.
The world needs more of you. We only get one you after all.
In summary: Make the choice you’ve been hoping or scared to make, make it now, begin living the life you were made for and be happy.
You will be so #blessed by the improving changes that will come your way.
